Are you struggling to navigate the complex landscape of environmental issues?

Do you feel overwhelmed or powerless in the face of global challenges?

If you're looking for a fresh perspective on how to make a meaningful impact – either on your own or as part of a team – then I invite you to join me for an experiential workshop called "Finding Your Nexus."

As a professional storyteller,  I've seen first-hand the power of storytelling to
connect people to their passions and sense of purpose.

With "Finding Your Nexus," I want to help you discover a new story – one that will help you find clarity, empowerment, and a sense of connection to the world around you.

Many people feel confused or overwhelmed by the scale of environmental challenges, leading them to either disengage or become mired in conflict and frustration.

"Finding Your Nexus" is rooted in my own personal experiences and reawakening during Covid, and has helped to empower people, build confidence, and foster a sense of legitimacy in their own abilities to make a difference. I'm excited to now offer this workshop more widely to help more people discover their unique
ability to create influence and change.

This workshop is designed for groups of up to 16 participants and takes place in the real world, creating a non-judgmental space for open and honest conversations.

All you need is a willingness to share your story while being supportive of others in sharing theirs.

Through this immersive experience, you'll gain a fresh perspective on the environmental issues that matter most to you, and learn how to channel your energy and focus into the places where you can create positive change.

By exploring the power of storytelling, we'll find common ground and connect to meaningful action that's tailored to the needs and abilities of every individual.

Together, we'll discover how even the smallest actions can have the greatest consequences – and explore how this fundamental truth can be applied in every aspect of our lives, from the home to the workplace and beyond.

Ideal for :

  • Businesses looking to empower staff teams around Net Zero, ESG and sustainability agendas
  • Community groups, clubs or societies wanting to enthuse and mobilise a community
  • Environmental groups and societies needing to renew focus and motivation
  • Schools and Universities wanting to support student well-being
  • Individuals wanting to address climate distress / eco-anxiety

I'm currently open for new bookings and keen to begin sharing the benefits of this workshop with anyone who is interested how it might work for them. The workshop takes lasts 3 hours with an option to extend into a facilitated ideation and planning phase (particularly useful for developing a cohesive team response).

Concessions are available for groups willing to participate in evaluation and feedback.

Why I created this workshop:

This workshop was developed in response to my personal experiences with the self limiting effects and action paralysis resulting from exposure to the mainstream 'stories' being shared about the environment and climate crisis.

The focus and style of stories being shared through TV, news and social media, are cultivating a perception of loss and despair that is forcing many people to shut down.

I began asking people how they are feeling when they hear stories about the environment and the word cloud shown above gives a strong indication of the results. If we are to stand a chance of achieving meaningful change, we cannot do it from a position of anger, anxiety or frustration. Where stories have created this problem, they can also help to resolve it. The Nexus workshop is rooted in story to help people rediscover the power they hold as individuals and help them recognise the way they might choose to make a difference.

Nexus validates each participants subjective experiences, using them to explore and understand where we find ourselves, finding confidence in our voices and affirming the legitimacy of those experiences. We begin to appreciate the subtle yet powerful influence stories have over us, including the stories we tell ourselves.

Ideal workshop duration - 3 hours (including break)
